A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Student,

Welcome to an exciting chapter of your high school journey! High school represents a time in your life to develop and explore your passions, set ambitious goals, and take meaningful steps toward your future. Our updated program of studies booklet is here to guide you, offering information you need to craft a learning experience that’s uniquely yours at Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School.

As you plan for the upcoming school year, we encourage you to involve your family and mentors in the process as you discuss the contents of this booklet. Challenge yourself by choosing courses that ignite your curiosity and align with your aspirations. We have continued to modify our programming and expand our course offerings to give you even more flexibility and electives to explore. Take time to review all the possibilities thoughtfully, and don’t hesitate to ask for guidance as you select the classes that best suit your goals.

Through our Graduation Project initiative and related experiences, you’ve already begun uncovering your strengths and interests. Use the tools and experiences—like career inventories, job research, and work shadows, discussions—to make informed decisions about the next steps in your academic path. Our Graduation Project focuses on having you identify your areas of interest and then select educational opportunities to help explore those interests. Use this booklet to begin to familiarize yourself with all that MASH has to offer. This is your opportunity to design a meaningful and rewarding high school experience, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

It is an exciting time to be a Wildcat. MASH is growing—our student body, our campus, and our partnerships with local businesses and colleges. This growth means more opportunities for you to learn, connect, and prepare for the world beyond high school. Be sure to take full advantage of the outstanding resources, dedicated teachers, and state-of-the-art facilities available to you. As we work together, your goals can become reality.  

Please be proactive in consulting with your teachers, counselors, and family to ensure your choices align with your academic and personal goals, as school policy does not permit course changes for 2025-2026, once the current school year ends.
